TARIQ MIRZA

1949-2020

Tariq, meaning 'morning star', exuded nothing but light. His deep and vast knowledge on various disciplines, other-worldly patience and respect with all people, and innate desire to help and heal others set him apart from everyone else.

After his sudden death on Friday 4th December 2020, messages have been flooding in from all over the world about his wisdom, unceasing care and support for others, and loving nature; consistently providing his undivided attention to every person he encountered, whether friend or stranger.

Our hope, as his family, is to use this space as a medium for coping with this significant loss. Through sharing our stories and memories of him, posting special moments, and pooling our funds to build a community well in his name, we hope all who are hurting are able to find some comfort.

Though the truth remains that he cannot be replaced, perhaps we can collectively use this space to reflect upon the lessons and teachings he left behind: of unfaltering patience, dignified resilience, and a commitment to helping and healing others.

"To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man."
